The Gold Industry Group has teamed with Women in Mining WA to host a Women in Gold sundowner at The Perth Mint on Friday 7 October, 2016.

Gold Fields Australia Vice President of Legal and Compliance Kelly Carter will share her career journey and highlights with professional women from various industries. She will discuss the opportunities industry offers and how resilience and embracing change can set you up for success. Kelly will also cover what all industry leaders can do to support women in the industry as well as provide an overview of the Gold Fields Women in Gold project. 

Gold Road Resources Non-Executive Director Sharon Warburton will be our Master of Ceremonies and will share her insights as an entrepreneur in mining and champion of flexibility, diversity and work-life balance. 

About Kelly

Kelly Carter is the Vice President: Legal and Compliance for Gold Fields. She began her legal career in the UK before moving to Perth where she practised as a commercial disputes lawyer for a number of years. Kelly's extensive experience in the resources sector includes more than three years as legal counsel for Norilsk Nickel Australia and more than five years at Gold Fields, where she manages the legal and compliance portfolio for the Australian region. Kelly’s experience extends across the resources cycle, having provided a broad scope of legal services in relation to both operating and non-operating assets. Kelly is a member of Gold Fields’ regional executive, with oversight and responsibility for both operational performance and regional strategy.
