SUMMARY:The Great GIG Debate: The Great Qualification Showdown
DESCRIPTION:Tool Box or Text Book? The Gold Industry Group’s annual Great GIG Debate is back\, and this year we’re putting two pathways to a career in gold head-to-head: trades versus university degrees. \nThe gold industry offers an incredible range of career opportunities\, from the mine site to the boardroom. But when it comes to building a successful career in the sector\, which pathway provides the strongest foundation? \nIs hands-on experience and practical training the key to success\, or does a university education open more doors? \nJoin us for The Great Qualification Showdown\, as industry representatives go head-to-head in a light-hearted debate exploring the merits of vocational training and university education\, challenging assumptions and making the case for their preferred pathway. \nOf course\, there’s no wrong answer. Both pathways play a vital role in the success of Australia’s gold industry\, but that won’t stop our debaters from putting forward some spirited arguments! \nA highlight of the Gold Industry Group’s annual events calendar\, the Great GIG Debate brings together industry professionals for an evening of friendly rivalry\, good humour and plenty of laughs. \nWhether you’re a tradesperson\, university graduate\, industry leader or simply passionate about the future of the gold industry\, this is an evening you won’t want to miss.
