Following award winning upgrades, the Shire of Leonora invites the public to the official launch of Gwalia’s Historical Precinct.

Be a part of history at ‘Gwalia’s Gold’ - a weekend of celebration and free events, including the launch of the “Gwalia’s Gold - it’s people and place” multimedia exhibition.

The State Hotel will also open its doors to the public, for the weekend only, for the first time in over fifty years.

Weekend highlights include:

  • Community breakfast

  • Mining discussion at the lookout with St Barbara Limited

  • Multimedia exhibition chat

  • Great Gatsby cocktail party at Hoover House

  • Meet the characters of Gwalia with free walking tours

There will also be a live performance by the Kalgoorlie Choir, market stalls, kids games, karaoke and much more.
