The First Wealth of Nations Mining Heritage Conference will celebrate the discovery of gold in Kalgoorlie at the Hannans Club on 15-16 June.
The Conference is part of a weekend of community celebrations that coincides with the 125th Anniversary of the Australian Institute of Mining and Metallurgy (AusIMM) and the 115th Anniversary of the Kalgoorlie School of Mines.
The Conference will look at the role of mining heritage in:
- Regional revitalisation and tourism
- Policy and regulation including famous Miner’s Rights
- Innovations in technology and infrastructure
- Indigenous cultures
- Education
