The gold industry is proud to celebrate Western Australia’s cultural diversity supporting Netball WA’s annual Multicultural Carnival on 26 August 2022.
Netball WA’s annual Multicultural Carnival is a one-day event that promotes participation and engages players from a wide variety of ethnic backgrounds to enhance their netball skills and foster their development in a fun and encouraging environment.
Netball WA’s Multicultural Carnival is a celebration of the State’s cultural diversity and requires five of their participants on court at all times have one or more parents born overseas, or identify as an Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander.
First held in 2015, Netball WA’s Multicultural Carnival initially saw over 200 participants from 17 different teams compete in the inaugural event, which has since grown significantly over the years. 2020 saw the introduction of a secondary boys division, growing the sport and carnival’s inclusivity.
Players and families can also enjoy a number of fun activities including our Gold Jobs quiz, gold photo booth and plenty of gold fever giveaways!
