Australia’s Gruyere Gold Mine was officially opened by Western Australian Premier Mark McGowan and Minister for Mines and Petroleum Bill Johnston yesterday - set to produce 300,000 ounces of gold annually and employ 250 people.
Located 200 kilometres east of Laverton in the north-eastern Goldfields region, the Gruyere Mine is a joint venture between Gold Fields and Gold Road Resources, with Gold Fields as the mine operator and manager.
Gold Fields and Gold Road Resources, the owners of Australia’s newest gold mine, Gruyere, have donated a one kilogram gold bar worth approximately A$72,000 to Telethon this year, supporting a better life for children across Western Australia.
