St Barbara is championing women’s role in the workplace, having received the Workplace Gender Equality Agency’s ‘Employer of Choice for Gender Equality’ citation for the sixth consecutive year.
Out of 119 organisations, St Barbara was the only mining company to receive the citation.
KCGM has announced significant changes to its Parental Leave Policy, joining its Joint Venture owner Newmont Goldcorp Australia in setting a new industry standard within Australia.
These changes help address the gender pay gap that occurs when parents are out of the workforce for extended periods. KCGM continues to offer employees access to family-friendly flexible work arrangements when at work.
Newmont has raised the bar on its commitment to inclusion with employees now eligible to receive 26 weeks paid parental leave, and 10 days domestic violence leave, a significant increase from the previous 14 weeks paid parental leave and five days unpaid domestic violence leave.
