The Gold Industry Group's annual Women in Gold Great Diversity Debate, in conjunction with WIMWA and sponsored by Gold Fields, will be held at The Perth Mint on Friday 8 November.
Join us for an engaging and thought-provoking discussion, as the house explores the topic: “a diversity debate that begins and ends with gender is doomed to fail”.
Richard Hayes, GIG Chairman and Perth Mint CEO, will present the evening’s proceedings as Master of Ceremonies.
A special Welcome to Country will be performed by Whadjuk Noongar woman Ingrid Cumming.
GIG Vice Chair and Gold Fields VP Legal and Compliance Kelly Carter will adjudicate the debate, which features an esteemed line up of speakers including:
Raleigh Finlayson – Managing Director, Saracen Mineral Holdings
Stacey Marinkovich – Head Coach, West Coast Fever
Matthew Popham – Tax Director, Newmont Goldcorp Australia
Tashana Jones - Student, Curtin University and President, Women in Mining and Resources Curtin
Hear from our panellists ahead of the 2019 debate.
With debates also being held in Melbourne and Sydney in 2019, this event is fast becoming one of the largest and most influential gender diversity events on the mining industry calendar.
