As Gold Partner, Independence Group (IGO) will join other businesses and individuals across Perth for the Up All Night marathon next month, raising funds and awareness for Ronald McDonald House Charities Western Australia (RMHCWA).

The overnight event, commencing from 9pm on Saturday 30 November will end at 8am on Sunday 1 December, as hundreds of people walk 42 km through the Perth CBD in solidarity of those families with sick children who experience similar hardship.

IGO Company Secretary and Head of Corporate Affairs Joanne McDonald said the company is proud to be the presenting partner of this year’s event.

“We were actively involved last year as a team and saw first-hand what an amazing event it is and how it really makes a difference for struggling families who have sick children in hospital. We had no hesitation in being involved again!”

“IGO encourages other companies and their employees who are here in Perth to follow IGO’s step and get involved in raising money and walking on the night for this excellent cause!” she concluded.

On top of being the event’s Gold Partner, IGO have committed to sponsor Up All Night for the next three years and will also walk the route next month with a team of 17 employees that includes senior leadership with the aim to raise an additional $30,000.

The 2018 event saw IGO match all donations up to $10,000 – a goal that was reached within 43 minutes of the event kicking off, thanks to the support of various walkers.
