Gold Industry Group Chair Kelly Carter and Vice Chair Stuart Jenner

Ms Carter was appointed to lead the Group at yesterday’s Board meeting following four years as Vice Chair, with Gold Road Resources General Manager - Capability and Culture Stuart Jenner stepping into Vice Chair.

Ms Carter has been instrumental in the growth of the Gold Industry Group to date, joining the Board in its second year of operation. Her passion for diversity and education has driven the Group’s role in connecting Australians to our gold industry.

”I am immensely proud of what the Gold Industry Group has achieved to date in championing the value of the gold sector to our economy and our communities, and excited by the opportunity to work with Stuart and the rest of the Board in building on that success,” said Ms Carter.

Ms Carter plays a key role in overseeing Gold Field’s operational performance and regional strategy as a member of its regional executive and was recognised as a Business News 40under40 winner and in the top 100 Global Inspirational Women in Mining in 2018.

Mr Jenner joined the Board in 2018 bringing his experience in operational and executive roles across mining, consultancy, and government (including as an Officer in the Australian Defence Force). Mr Jenner is also an Executive and Organisational Coach, a Fellow of the Australian Institute of Management and Non-Executive Director with Intelife.

”I look forward to supporting Kelly and the Board in raising the profile of the Gold Industry Group and the great things that our member companies are doing to support our nation, their States and their communities,” said Mr Jenner.

Mr Hayes remains on the Board as a Director and we thank him for his five-year commitment to championing Australia’s gold industry as Chair of the Group from its inception.

This announcement follows the election of three new Directors at last year’s AGM. The Gold Industry Group Board has a strong focus on championing diversity and is comprised of five female and five male directors.
