The Gold Industry Group has released their 2021 Impact Report, reflecting on a successful year of changing community perceptions, and inspiring the gold industry’s future talent pipeline.
As the Group heads into its seventh year of operation, its role in connecting Australians to the nation’s gold industry continues to expand.
Cultural awareness, regional facilities, diversity and influencing change were the key topics of discussion for more than 20 Netball Associations from across the State when Netball WA hosted a Leadership Camp in partnership with the Gold Industry Group.
The Gold Industry Group was behind more than 3,300 netballers that travelled from across Western Australia to compete at the 2021 Fuel to Go and Play Association Championships at the Gold Netball Centre in June.
Teams represented Associations from as far as Kununurra, Karratha, Albany, Esperance, Kalgoorlie and many regional communities in between.
The Gold Industry Group (GIG) released their 2020 Impact Report, reflecting on the impact of their activities during a tumultuous year for most Australians with the challenges that COVID-19 presented throughout the country and the rest of the world.
Overcoming these challenges with numerous achievements was made possible through the collective effort of GIG members.
The Gold Industry Group Western Australian Netball League (GIG WANL) 2020 season came to a thrilling end on Friday 16 October at the Gold Netball Centre in front of a full-capacity crowd.
Following the matches, all winners, officials and umpires received commemorative gold medallions for their outstanding achievements and contributions, courtesy of Gold Industry Group member The Perth Mint.
More than 3,000 netballers from 222 teams and 29 associations across the State battled it out for their respective titles at Netball WA’s Fuel to Go and Play Association Championships in September.
