A practical path back to production: Valiant Gold’s start in the Murchison
Valiant Gold was established to unlock the potential of two well-established gold assets in Western Australia’s Murchison region. The Reedy and Comet projects have already produced more than one million ounces of gold and today hold a combined resource of over 1.2 million ounces. Starting from that position gives the company a clear and practical pathway forward. The Gold Industry Group welcomes Valiant Gold as a new member.
Starting with established ground
Valiant Gold was formed to unlock the potential of the Reedy and Comet projects, both located in one of Western Australia’s most established gold regions. Together, these assets provide a foundation that many new companies do not have, with existing resources, known geology, and a history of production.
The company itself was created through the demerger of these assets from Westgold Resources, which remains a cornerstone shareholder. While Valiant is a newly listed company, much of its experience comes from people who have spent decades working in the Australian gold sector.
A practical approach to growth
What sets Valiant Gold apart is the pathway it has in place to move its projects forward.
Through an ore purchase agreement with Westgold Resources, the company has access to existing processing infrastructure. This allows it to focus on progressing its projects toward production without the need to build and permit new facilities.
It is a straightforward approach. Use what is already there, move efficiently, and continue growing the resource base alongside development work.
Valiant Gold listed on the ASX recently, raising 75 million dollars and establishing itself as a standalone company with a clear plan. The focus now is on execution, with work underway to build out the team, continue drilling across the portfolio, refine the resource base, and progress mining studies.
Building on a long history
Valiant Gold’s projects sit within the Murchison Goldfields, an area with a long history of gold production in Western Australia.
As the company advances its projects, it is focused on working with local communities, supporting regional employment, and engaging with stakeholders across the areas in which it operates. There is also a strong connection to the broader industry, including involvement in mentoring and supporting the next generation through the WA School of Mines alumni network.
Working in the gold industry often means working in places with deep history. Across Western Australia, many towns and communities were shaped by gold, and that legacy continues to influence the regions where companies operate today.
For Valiant Gold, building a business in these areas comes with an awareness of that history, alongside a focus on what comes next.
The Gold Industry Group welcomes Valiant Gold and looks forward to following its progress as it works toward bringing its projects back into production.
